After debuting at a Midsummer Festival in 2016, New Feelings quickly became one of the most exciting names on the Stockholm indie scene. Before even releasing their first material the band's conceptual, engaging and unforgettable live shows impressed everything from underground venues to the city's larger rooms. Their shameless flirting with 80's aesthetics done with such perfection and irresistible charm has gained New Feelings a growing cult following. Now, the band take their next step as new single Real Love is released via Rama Lama Records.
The quartet, which together have a impressive CV that includes acclaimed Stockholm garage bands such as Holograms, Lion's Den and IBV, formed New Feelings due to a shared love to influences such as Springsteen, Tina Turner, Devo, Dire Straits, Talking Heads and Pulp. Last April, the band self-released debut single 'If You Want Me To Dance' alongside with a karaoke video, both the music and video spread a energy and joy that's so often lacking in the sometimes over-pretentious and introspective indie scene. The single received praise from influential national sources and is often played on underground venues and indie parties since.
New single Real Love shows a more emotional side of the band and broadens New Feelings pop/rock spectrum. Olle Strandberg's dewy-eyed vocals combined with the stylistic instrumentation creates a soundtrack that every coming of age movie made yet unfortunately missed out on.
Debut EP 'Introducing' is released on all digital platforms and limited vinyl on Friday April 13th via Rama Lama Records. 'Introducing' consist of four tracks produced by Konie (Les Big Byrd), a collection spreading from ballads such as Real Love to buzzard screams - all held together by New Feeling's clear and exciting concept.
New Feelings consist of Olle Strandberg (vocals, guitar), Anton Strandberg (drums), Joel Tiger (bas) and Teodor Juel Eckerström (synth).
